Showing 5-5 for me think someone jumped the gun Liam got broken

I didn't jump the gun.  Bet365 was actually saying that he'd won the match at one point. hmm

Nooo ... it was all looking so good. But now Mr Ward broken and his opponent serving for the match ... and Mr Broady down 2-4 in the tie break. Time for some sudden spurts of winning energy!

Nice work by Mr Broady - that was a good match against a higher-ranked opponent. Hope he can take the positives and not simply regret the loss.

Oh noooo !

I too saw Liam "winning" on bet365, taking the third of 3 set points from 40-0, came on here, added my congrats and went about my business, and now just came back in to read the above.

Bah cry

R1:  (1) Bob Bryan & Mike Bryan WR1 vs Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 39 (20+19)

Unbelievable! disbelief  That said, the boys have form (the head-to-head is 2-2)... ! wink

R1:  (3) Rohan Bopanna & Florin Mergea (IND/ROU) CR 18 (10+8) vs Andy Murray & Daniel Nestor (CAN) CR 314 (289+25) (*)

(*)  Interesting pairing.  I assume they got in on Andy's singles ranking & I doubt the third seeds will feel all that comfortable about facing them.  Pity they're in the same half of the draw as Jamie & John. hmm

That is nice - properly brotherly. Really does seem a very decent sort.

Good performances from them both, maybe they should try and travel together a bit more often or at least as much as their respective circuits allow.

Can't help noticing that all three players who beat the three Brits in the first round of qualifying failed to progress and lost their next match :(

I noticed that too.  Maybe the Brits softened them up...
