Week 30 - Canada F6 ($15,000) - Saskatoon (hard)

Farris' presence in the doubles draw makes it reasonable to assume that he'll also be in the singles MD:

R1:  Connor Farren & Alexis Halebian (USA/USA) UNR vs (4) Marcus Giron (USA) & Farris Gosea CR 2033 (1263+770)

I don't think there's any "seem" about it:  it's on the ITF draw sheet.  Their semi-final opponents also had the benefit of a walkover - & against the second seeds...  Curiouser & curiouser! disbelief

SF:  (4) Marcus Giron (USA) & Farris Gosea CR 2033 (1263+770) vs Victor Haddad & Jabari Stafford (MEX/USA) UNR

Farris+ seem to be cruising in their semi, currently 6-1 2-0.

Farris has had several retirements in the singles recently but is carrying on with doubles so, presumably, it can't be too serious . . .

Good stuff. It had crossed my mind that they may only have won their QF, because the opposing pair got in their withdrawal first ! - and that they might withdraw from the SF, but it seems that Farris is good to go ...

Very strange that Farris cannot manage back to back singles week in week out, but is OK to play doubles....

Doubles Final :

(4) Marcos Giron (USA) & Farris Gosea beat (1) Patrick Davidson & Matt Reid (USA/AUS) CR 1127 (933+194) 6-3 6-2

Walkover, Walkover, 6-1 6-0, 6-3 6-2, nice to beat the no 1 seeds in the final to show their worth.
