Yes, it has been good to see the steadily improving results from Laura. All the best to her.

( she's relevant to me since my current ranking lists have the top 18 British women and Laura's no 15 )

 

PS : certainly not saying I take no notice of players ranked below these, just I couldn't quote you their ranking points. 4 points for Laura takes her up to 29 points,  3 more would draw her level with Izzy

And Izzy's got her mega-big counter (19 points?) due to come off next week or the week after (or in August at any rate). Her tally is going to look a lot different after that . . . cry

Just checking Steven's tables, Izzy's 19 points from the Winnipeg 25K last August won't actually come off until after the US Open on 14th September. I knew she hadn't anything to come off on or before 17th August. But yes, relatively very big points.

Right. OK. It must be caught up in that 2-week thingy for the Grand Slam.

The WTA site, now I've checked, has it dated as 18th August 2014. But that might not be the roll-off date, just the tournament date.

Yes, 18th August was the tournament start date.

Being a 25K, the points would normally have been added on 1st September, but no rankings then since the mid point of last year's US Open so they were added on 8th September. So they come off on 7th September this year - well no, because the US Open is a week later this year and that being mid point of this year's Open no new rankings until 14th September.

So essentially these points don't come off until a year and 4 weeks after the beginning of the Winnipeg tournament

Steven has it at 14-Sep-15 on his stats so I'm going with the Oracle - can't work them out myself. I'm sure there are a set off rules and maybe I'll understand them - but not today wink
