RE: Week 30 - ITF ($10K) - Parnu, Estonia Clay

Hoping for a speedy pre-dubs recovery ... and that the week as a whole is still an encouragement.

The remarkable Ms. Parish defied the odds yet again, somehow finding energy from somewhere to earn a hard fought doubles win in the afternoon over the second seeds.

QF: Parish/Eidukonyte (GBR/LTU) defeated Lodikova/Maggen (RUs/BEL) [2] 6-2 3-6 [10-4]
SF: Parish/Eidukonyte (GBR/LTU) vs. Horackova/Sizikova (CZE/RUS)

Helen & Joana's final was originally on today's ( Friday's ) schedule, but put back to Saturday at not before 3 pm local, 1 pm BST.

At 2.15 pm the match scheduled on court before the doubles final, an apparent 3 set singles SF marathon ( was due off at 11 am ) has just been completed, and it involved ( and was won by ) Helen's doubles partner.

Presumably she'd like a little rest. One of their doubles opponents was also in singles SF action, but that one was apparently completed rather sooner.

Joana did get a rest and then it started raining shortly before the final was due to start. It has now stopped raining and while the final was meant to be played on the streamed court, that court is apparently the wettest one, so who knows ...

Still great to see Helen achieve the wins that she did this week.
