Confused - someone has posted on the Resultina site that Laura won 6-4 6-2 but no score showing officially so is that just wishful thinking?
Wishful thinking, she's on revised OOP to start after Em, so I think we can discount this.
This was what made me post that Resultina is confusing earlier. Unless they played through the storm I think we can assume it is a fictional result (though hopefully Laura can make it a reality)
JoKo choosing to play this event is interesting scheduling. After her strong grasscourt season I'm surprised that she wanted to go back down to $50k level rather than play the WTA International events, but hopefully it works well for her.
JoKo wins 7-5 6-1, very comfortable win after the first 5 games.

Slow start, but an impressive end, I suppose re scheduling, playing these sort of events should guarantee ranking points, but I do believe she could have had a crack at Istanbul e.g, but she is down to play Washington in a couple of weeks, so playing these couple of events should give her lots of ranking points and match practice.
