Having seen Sam Barry a couple of time - he is probably at a true ranking and Dan E should win comfortably

I'd expect Dan v Tom to go to 3 sets. Dan leads 2-1 in matches, but Tom beat him in the final at Wirral a couple of years back.

Yes, I think it will take someone a bit stronger than Barry to stop Dan's run. Hopefully I won't be eating my words in an hour's time

At least half of the games in Dan and Tom's match have gone to deuce. I can't recall a single game being won to love. So clearly a very tight match.

And with perfect timing, Dan loses serve and now trails 1-3* in the 2nd

Evo has 0-40 on Barry's serve but Barry takes it to deuce, another Evo AD taken away, before Dan eventually takes the game and we're back on serve *2-3
Not Dan's most clinical performance this - that was only the 2nd BP taken out of 14!

Dan holds, and then after another couple of BPs slip by, breaks to lead *4-3 in the 2nd

And Evo breaks again to win 6-3 6-3. Arguably his most impressive win of recent coming back from 3-1 in the 2nd against Barry a decent player when you consider all the tennis Evo has played recently. The only way is up top 300 before year end and maybe even sneak into qualies for Australia.

With absolutely nothing to defend until next May, I'd say Aussie Open qualifying is a realistic goal. Dan is up to 270-280 in the live race even if he loses in the semis here, which I wouldn't bank on. Great to see him winning consistently, perhaps even more satisfying to see it at futures level after that fantastic quote of him saying 'there's no point playing well in front of 4 people' or something to that effect!! smile

If Dan obeys and gets those 2 more wins, he'll be up to around 220-230 in the race rankings, which would be quite incredible given where he was before Wimbledon Qualifying!

As I am sure most people are aware, the two Dans will play each other in the SF.

Could we end up with an All GB semi final in the other half of the draw too ? Still very possible

Lloyd leads 5-4*
Jamie leads 5-3*

Now hoping that Jamie Whiteford and LLoyd Glasspool can secure as an all-GB line-up for the semis.

Lloyd is 5-4* up against pesky Lescure
Jamie 5-3* up with a break against slightly less pesky but still a bit pesky Irishman Thomson
