Evo's match against Barry should be a better measure of where he stands now.

Evo already up inside the provisional 300 in the race. If he does manage to go deep this week I'll reckon he's earned a bit of time to rest before he makes his next move! Today would be his 12th win in a row if he sees it out, and his 17th out of 18 matches I believe

Dan Evans pegged back on first two match points, but takes the third to win 6-4 6-2 against Jhun- the run keeps going, great stuff.

Can barely remember this sort of consistency before, very happy.

Will be interesting to see where he does play next. He isn't entered into anything for the next two weeks. I just wonder if he might try and turn up and sign in for qualifying at the Challenger coming up in Spain(Sergovia).

It's anybody's guess to be honest - it is Evo after all! I wouldn't have thought a 2-week block of rest and training would be a bad idea. He's got nothing to defend (other than 8 points dropping on 3rd August) until next May (!) so there's absolutely no need for him to point-chase at the minute. That said, he's bound to be feeling pretty confident off the back of this run so maybe he should just keep going until the wins stop flowing!

Evo has had BPs in 3-4 of Sam Barry's service games and now has 3 to take the set. 1 saved, 2 saved, and the 3rd saved as well. Advantages both ways, back to deuce for a 3rd time, another set point saved by Barry, and Evo will need to serve for the set *5-3

Dan S is still a break up on Tom F, lots of long games, Smethy saving BP to lead 5-3*

1st set Evo 6-3
No BPs faced, only 5 points dropped in 4 service games. Solid.

Mr Smethurst breaks Tom's serve for the 3rd time to take the 1st set in their match by the same scoreline, 6-3

Having seen Sam Barry a couple of time - he is probably at a true ranking and Dan E should win comfortably

I'd expect Dan v Tom to go to 3 sets. Dan leads 2-1 in matches, but Tom beat him in the final at Wirral a couple of years back.
