RE: Week 29 - Ireland F1 ($15,000) - Dublin (Carpet)

I believe that is Sizya Kivanda's first point and having seen him a few times, I'm surprised it has taken this long. He has a nice backhand.

In the Last 16, Jamie Whiteford is a set up against the Frenchman.
Lloyd Glasspool looks to be serving for the first set at *6-5.
Tom F is storming, up 6-1 *3-0 against the Italian qualifier.

Jamie Whiteford also through 6-2 7-6 against Rosenzweig

Along with Lloyd Glasspool who clinches a 7-5 6-2 victory against Cortes Alcaraz

Three matches, three GB wins against non-GB opponents.

Good start to the day.

Julian lost 3&3

The top seed has gone, which means bar Mick Lescure, it will be a GB or Ireland winner.

Let's hope Ireland's Peter Bothwell can put Lescure out now and make that a certainty smile

QF:  Coilin MacNamara & Osgar O'Hoisin (IRL/IRL) UNR "defeated" (3) Julian Cash & Bradley Mousley (AUS) CR 2087 (1366+721) by a walkover  cry

Wonder what the story is there.  hmm

Right on cue Bothwell breaks and will serve for the 1st set *6-5 against our last 'pesky'

Meanwhile Smethurst up an early break on Sizya 3-1*

Bothwell lost the 1st set to Lescure on a TB in the end and is now *2-4 down in the 2nd so it looks like we may have a pesky in the quarters after all
Dan S is a set up on Sizya having taken the 1st 6-2 and has had a couple of BPs in the 1st game of Set 2. Currently at deuce

Evo now getting under way against Alex Jhun, 1-0* to Evo in the 1st
Smethurst is edging towards the win at *4-3 in the 2nd set, Sizya has missed quite a few BP opportunities

Dan Smethurst beats Sizya Kivanda 2 and 3. Sizya still taking that cherished ranking point back with him though :)
