Am I to take it that Kyle's third set has still not been played, maybe confusion with his R1 result ?
Can just say so
You were too quick off the mark, Indy. I realised my mistake almost as soon as I'd posted (yes, I had looked at the live draw too quickly & confused what I thought was the result with his first-round match ), so I deleted it, but obviously not quickly enough, as, when I looked again, you'd already replied to it.
Mr Rubin's strength is his movement - or at least that's my impression from the little I've seen of his play (not in this tournament). I didn't think he had much weight of shot at the time, but that may have changed. Think that Mr Edmund is probably more solid all around at present. And all of the other teens have lost in the second round (I think), so ....
I think that is what caught Kyle by surprise, the fact that every now and again Rubin was able to do more than defend, certainly hit a couple of big winners in the TB, when it really mattered.
Thanks, Phil. That's interesting. If he could get power to go with what looked like fairly striking speed and defensive skills, he could be quite a threat. Still think Mr Edmund will be too solid for him at this point, though.
