RE: Week 29 - Challenger ($50,000) - LG&T Tennis Challenger, Binghamton, NY, USA (hard)

Brydan well on his way here, won the 1st set 6-3 and is 3-1* up in the 2nd and now has 0-30 on Ed's serve

Brydan wins through 6-3 6-2. Hard luck for Ed but well done to Brydan, it's been a solid year for him so far as he works his way back up the rankings

Brydan played very well - impressed with that performance.

Sorry to see Mr Corrie lose, but sounds as if Mr Klein played very well.

Kyle is last match on Centre Court. N/b 10.30pm UK time.

Edit

Also worth noting that Kyle is already the only seed left in the Top half of the draw.

Messrs Broady and Bambridge won three futures doubles in a row last year, so have 54 points coming off between now and mid-August. 29 goes a good way to covering some of them - but it would be very helpful if they could win one more match!

I think they are going their separate ways shortly in the US, so this week will be a bonus for doubles, but I hope both players will be focussing on picking up some wins in the singles...

Kyle's match is underway. It's a shame it will go on too late for me to follow it - again. Sometimes I hate tennis in the USA. . .

On serve, 3-2*.It's maybe just as well I'll have to go now, that last service game from Kyle was a bit erratic, spraying balls out or in the net, but he held in the end. Maybe he'll do better when I'm not watching - it often seems to happen with our players!

4-3* and a much better service game from Kyle, holding to love - and now I'll really have to go.

Kyle saves 4 BPs at 5-5 and just about holds serve in the end.
He leads on serve 6-5*

No BPs for Kyle so far. Might as well break and steal it now

And then pounces in the next game. 4 set points come and go but Kyle takes the 5th and with it the set 7-5 :)
