horendous first set from liam - broken in 4 of 4 service games to lose it 6-1 but has taken the second 6-4 into a decider. Have only been half watching it but looks like liam is trying to play aggresive tennis but just making a lot of ue's
In the first set, Liam was miles behind his baseline, not moving his feet, horrible tennis (and not at all aggressive).
Played a little better in the second, moved up a bit more, slightly more dynamic, and - as you say - trying to make things happen. (But Freddie also played slightly worst).
Brydan played better in the second, having refound his serve after a real (or convenient) MTO. But Brydan showed a pathological fear of coming to the net to finish the easy point, which Giron did really well.
In the tie-break, however, neither guy could give it away . . .
Horrid faults from both, 2 doubles from Brydan, dumped returns . . . in the end Brydan scraped it .... into the third . . .
Watched Brydans first round match vs Dan Cox in Manchester I think, which was similarly turgid stuff. He then went and beat Baghdatis in the next round! Hoping for something similar this week hes now a break up in the 3rd.

Disappointing for Liam, I thought when he pulled back the 2nd set, he would win the decider, alas not to be. Kedders starts at 9, but it's raining at the moment, so there may be a delay.
