RE: Week 29 - Challenger ($50,000) - LG&T Tennis Challenger, Binghamton, NY, USA (hard)

Nice to see Andy tweeting congratulations to both Jo Konta and Kyle, looks like ? From Andys tweet that Kyle has a week of high quality practice planned in Washington and the opposition a bit tougher than today's opponent.

Perhaps a mini Lion bar for pudding ( team sky celebration pre tour preparation) to celebrate tonight and then some real graft.

Any chance of a US Open WC for Kyle? Kudla got one for Wimby based on his performance in the Challengers leading up to the event so maybe a good case was made today for a reciprocal arrangement. On the other hand I quite fancy Kyle to qualify anyway if it comes to it.

I'm almost certain there is some sort of WC award for the run of hard-court challengers leading up to the USO. However I'll rely on somebody more informed than myself to explain what that is and whether Kyle would be eligible (not sure if not playing at Lexington will impact on that). Floor's open wink

I think they give one to the highest point scoring American, unfortunately.

Thanks for clearing that up Jaffa smile shame about that but, as has been mentioned above, perhaps qualifying for Kyle isn't such a bad thing, and I'd still fancy his chances

Great week for Kyle. Looked a class above in most of the matches.

Hopefully now we shall see him put some of these performances into ATP events and keep that development going.
