Court is looking pretty wet to me. Might be a while.

They're out now, drying it off.

Kyle's anxious to get on with it: he out there, the opponent isn't, and the officials are just coming on.

Edit - no, they are both there, I was fooled by a change of shirt - warming up now.

Hoping Kyle can wrap this up quickly, as much for my sake as for his.  wink

That will do nicely. Errors on both sides of the net in that short spell which is hardly surprising given the circumstances, but Kyle wins 6-3 7-6(4)

Was listening to the commentary and I think he said Kyle was playing in Atlanta next week at the ATP event. Is this confirmed? I didn't think his ranking would get him a direct entry.

In terms of todays match, it was a bit up and down but still with some very good winners, his serve was a little better than yesterday. He does have a good chance to cement his place in the top 100 by the end of the year.

I actually thought Bangoura did a pretty good job of trying to upset Kyle's rhythm, particularly in the early part of the 2nd set, where he was attacking the net at every opportunity. He was never going to outplay Kyle from the baseline so he came up with a decent game plan and went for it.

Kyle weathered that storm though and I thought he was pretty much in control for the rest of the match.

re Atlanta, I heard the same comment so maybe he has a WC into the main draw.

He's not on the drawsheet according to Resultina.
