Was just looking and Josh has 70 points to defend before year end. I'd imagine heading down under he'd only do so if at least 250 in the rankings. which would require gaining 110 ranking points, roughly, before year end.
If i'm right in thinking Josh needs at least another win to maintain his ranking, to roughly its current level, as he has 27 points coming of soon. Not sure if it's next Monday or the one after the points come off.
Good chance of going further here though as he plays the winner of a Qualifier v WC match in the L16
Josh has really pushed on this year, produces some real barnstorming tennis, a great watch. I still think there be has plenty of untapped potential, despite being athletic I feel he could get fitter and just by adding consistency to a game already a threat to top 150 players he will consistently run deep into challengers. World top 200 is quite possible but dependent on him becoming a bona fide Challenger player.
Really pleased to see josh continue his recent form.
So many of our guys can rack up points at futures level but struggle to convert that success when they take the step but, but great to see josh making an impact and long may it continue!
Actually, I thought Josh had a very slow start to the year. He only picked up 33 points in the first 5 months. However, since he got onto the grass things have taken a big turn in the right direction. In the 4 weeks of June alone (although his Wimbledon qualifier points didn't officially go on until July) he scored 53 points. So glad to see that he has carried this form on to the hard court challengers.
You never know, if he can just have 3 or 4 good weeks before the end of the year, you'd like to think that his ranking can only go north in the first few months of 2016...

As Goldenboy says, long may it continue.
If I remember correctly Josh got ill a couple of weeks before Wirral and it took him a while to get over it.

6 challenger quarter finals would do it then I think that's possible he's already on course this week. Or 4 and 1 semi.
