A very weak and half empty qualifying draw and a much weaker main draw entry than last week.

Wildcards seem to have gone to Paris(may be in direct or still suffering from appendicitis), Strachan, Carter and another - possibly Smethurst, Goodall. Jathan Malik

The American, Ulises Blanch, has managed to rain on our parade slightly, knocking out the top Q seed, Evan Hoyt.

Good result for George Davies (based in Spain) who put out Ollie Hudson, WR 1371

Quite a few matches to finish tomorrow though . . .

The guy who thrashed Harry M is one of our college lads who's doing well.

Simon won a couple of Q rounds last year at the one tournament he entered and then lost to Alex Sendegeya - now where's HE been these last 6 months???? (I think he's joined Texas Tech, in fact, but am hoping he might play some ITFs this summer - after all, he reached Junior WR 74, we don't get many boys in the top 100 - would be nice to see him progress)

 Alex S went to uni in January rather than in the autumn.  This may not be the case for Alex, but it's very common for January starters to do Summer School to get their academics in the right place for the following year.
