RE: Entries - Week 29 - 20/07/15

I have a soft spot for the Binghamton challener in that it was there that Andy first really showed his metal as a teenager.

Looks like all three Brits will be seeded at Binghamton. Hoping Luke Bambridge can come through qualifying.

Which three? Or is it all four? And I, too, hope that Mr Bambridge can make it through qualifying.

Isn't this the tournament where Cox and Smethurst won the doubles last year?

You are right Spectator it is 4 in the MD, and Luke Bambridge in qualifying.

Ed Corrie, Liam, Kyle and Brydan.

Dan Cox did well in singles last year - I'm sure he got to the QF or SF. Not sure about doubles.

SF. I checked. And yes, he and Mr Smethurst won the doubles. Remember watching the match on live stream - it was quite a good one. Just never sure which year is which ... they all run together. Sorry they aren't defending - that's a lot of points to lose. In their absence, hope that one or more of the Brits can perhaps lift the title. Huge number of young talents this year, though: someone pointed out there are 7 junior (singles) GS champions in the draw. (Edit: that's before you get to the doubles GS champions, where you're adding in at the very least Mr Broady and Mr Edmund).  Interesting to see what happens.

Canadian tournaments indeed very weak; bit of a pity more of ours aren't at Granby ... huge points on offer and an extremely meagre field.

Exactly what I thought !

Amazingly small and weak qualifying draw for a 100K .....

Pretty sure Aljaz is playing the Croatia 250 this week also.

Is Wardy seriously going to Bogota after this?

Supposedly to play singles and doubles.

Gawd knows why. He's made the top 100 and he will make the US Open main draw since the entry list will beat most of his big points fall offs.

I would have thought more time to reestablish form and fitness would be more in order.

Laura Robson has turned up with a WC in Granby - and drawn the second seed.
