RE: Week 27 - Great Britain F6 ($15,000) - Frinton (Grass)

Marcus and Dan are having a good week - they have made the doubles final as well as the singles semi finals

Evan Hoyt and the Australian seem to have won their doubles semi by w/o

Hope Josh M and the other Aussie are OK - both lost their singles today . . .

Both Ed and Josh M withdrew from Felixstowe today, which would suggest that something is not quite right with the two of them.....

Hope it's nothing too serious for both . . .

I'll predict the opposite. Smethust v Farquharson.

Evo for me since having to play off for a wildcard for Wimbledon he appears to be doing what he needs to to win

Any news on Tom F and his longer-term plans?

No idea.

It's interesting that he didn't get involved at all in the Wimbly wildcard play-offs etc. etc.

Which obviously was not a financial thing, as he plays down in the south and it would have been very easy for him.

Nor an anti-grass thing, as here he is at Frinton.

And, for want of knowledge to the contrary, not an injury thing (no retirements or anything in his French league matches, no entry on the list and last minute withdrawal).

???

Dan S has taken the 1st set 6-1 against Marcus.

Dan won 1&3

As for Tom - he seems to play the same schedule - a few GB indoor tournaments in the winter and then a couple in the middle of the summer. This would indicate he was another job, which restricts his tennis.

As said, he was in France playing for 6 weeks in May/June.

And I don;t think he was working there (it's a new club and it would be a strange time of year)

So he's playing more than just the few GB tournaments in winter and those in the middle of summer.

But, as mentioned before, he may well be working at times with his brother, who is a sports/tennis businessman.
