Dan won 6-2 in the third. Great chance for both him and Marcus to win it I'd say.

Either rather than both, I feel.

Evo just broke at 5-5 and ended up taking the first set 7-5. Timing.

Tom F comes through too, as does Dan Evans - really nice result against the well-ranked Aussie.

So it's all an all-Brit foursome to share out the points . . .

Evans won 5&4 from the stats looks like a solid win - didn't drop serve once. If he can stay focussed surely he will win this tournament and get back up toward top 500

I'll predict a semi final line up of:

Smethurst v Milton
Farquharson v Evans

3 out of 4.  I call that a pretty good effort too.

I think the 8pts for the two Dans and Marcus will come in handy and cheer up Bob as both Dan's are approaching top 500 now.

12 already inside top 500 - two Dan's approaching, with Gosea and Gabb approaching and JWH and Bambo next on the list. Just need a couple more to push on.

Need Alex W & Dave R to pick up points as well as they are in danger of dropping out.
