How many winners

I put this in general as its men and women mixed.

I think we all know that we may have just the one Brit in round two but I suspect most of us are a little more optimistic.  There are a couple of favourable draws for the Broady's, I actually think James Ward may top his Davis Cup performance and that Laura Robson has blown enough cobwebs out of her system to take advantage of a dream 1st round draw.  So.......ever the glass half full type of chap, my picks to make round 2 are as follows.  Yours???

Men:  Murray, Ward, Broady

Ladies:  Watson, Robson, Broady

My head agrees exactly with Ratty.

But my heart says 'dream on' so I'll say:

Men: Murray, Bedene

Ladies: Laura

It's still not knocking the ball out of the park, is it?

Two: Murray and Watson.

Heather is not in great form but I think she can beat Garcia on grass

Edit: I'll add Ward as well now that Ferrer has withdrawn.

Slightly different predictions; how many matches will GB players win overall for both mens' and womens' singles.

I'll start the ball rolling with 8.

Edit: I am going for 9 now with James Ward to beat Vanni.

Although if one doesn't try and predict WHO will win, probability gives a much better chance of at least one Brit apart from Murray winning.

Probability of losing estimated as follows: L Broady 90%, Ward 70%, Edmund 90%, Bedene 70%, Watson 60%, N Broady 80%, Robson 90%, Konta 95%. Probability for all 8 to lose is therefore only 16%.

Murray Ward Klein Broady Watson.

I'm going for a positive outlook now this year the Ferrer withdrawal has helped.

The Broady's are a bit of a cop out, lots of hedged bets I feel!
Too conflicted and superstitious to even have a go for fear of cursing anyone. A very painful thread.

I put my three winners in nearer the start.

But if I had to go for overall winners, just to join in, I'd go for 4 (my three plus one random extra one - why not......)

Well your three haven't played yet, CD, but at least you have got the one random extra one!
