Weeks 26 & 27 - Wimbledon - grass - men's doubles

Saw the second set of J&J's match but was out for a meal for the rest of it. Followed it on live scores and was delighted to see them take it, although was a bit nervous after Pospisil and Sock pulled it back from 0-40 to 30-40. Fantastic win that.

Peya and Soares used to be the outright #2s not too long ago, surprised to see them seeded/ranked so low down.

Jamie and John are a set up, serving at *4-5 in the second.

The boys seem to be playing out of their skins in SW19 this year:

QF:  (13) Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 55 (28+27) defeated (8) Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares (AUT/BRA) CR 30 (16+14) by 6-4 7-6(3) 6-3   jump.gif

Erlich & Petzschner or the second seeds, Dodig & Melo, in the semi.  Lucky 13? wink

Well done J&J biggrin

Jamie's best showing in the MD at Wimby and, indeed, bettering his QFs at the USO in 2013 biggrin

Another brilliant win, and in straight sets too. Wow. Into the semi-finals, well done lads.

Excellent news - also likely to jump to around top 20 in rankings and top 5 in doubles race.

Jamie and Andy doubles partnership for DC a certainty.

Not if Wardy comes up trumps again in his first singles rubber smile

Been out all afternoon and missed it all! Great result though....now, what's the chances of it being shown on any highlights programme??!

Here's a bit of a turn-up for the books:

SF:  (13) Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 55 (28+27) vs (Q) Jonathan Erlich & Philipp Petzschner (ISR/GER) CR 203 (90+113)

Here's hoping that, after all their heroics in dumping out two pairs seeded more highly than they, they don't now go & fall flat on the respective @rses!
