Naomi played so poorly I'm afraid. Was far too negative. One main stat was serve volleys with Duque at 100% and Naomi at 0%. She plays so low and flat for someone so tall. Needs to sort out her footwork. Sadly our women looking a little under prepared. I thought hve would give a better account of herself than this as well
DM played some lovely tennis, but Naomi wasn't destroyed and has obvious assets. To move forward I feel she has to see this performance in the wild card context, ie by definition it's a miss match and yet her serve and powerful forehand gave her opportunities to win.
Tweaking of her mindset and a focus on optimising her movement are areas where a slight improvement may yield significant success particularly on grass.

Agreed re Naomi CD I thought she could still win after first set sadly her opponent knew her weaknesses. Heathers match will be over soon sadly not a good day for the ladies.
Naomi for me played overall well but when she got her chances in the first set she played far too negatively. Really should have broken and paid the price in the end.

Agree foot book terrible ! too negative . Wasted points with "I am Agassi " down the line returns that were miles wide got to get return back deep and make the opponent play
forehead slice why so frequently ? I do but I am. 55 and my movement is poor and in kent team doubles leagues you get away with in ! Never seen Naomi get a lob in ! First serve % poor . Good news £29,000 keeps her on the tour I suggest a new coach ! and a ban on forehand slices for a couple of months
