Duque Marinos game translates really nicely onto grass but Naomi not playing well enough. Keeps losing concentration mid point not expecting balls to come back to her. Colombian defending well and beautiful touch.

Got a bit lucky to break in that game. Needs to push on now.

DM was the better player and deserved the win. Really disappointed for Naomi with all those points coming off. She really had a chance today. Wasn't assertive enough on the break points in the first set and really she faded, DM just had a mini wobble in the middle of the second.

Opportunity missed. Her body language is a problem, gets down on herself far too easily and far too hard.

Best player won in control second set and the volleying was first class Naomi just not quick enough to deal with those shots. A shame because she served well but lack of backhand and low slices from her opponent punished her.

Btw that was pretty much a carbon copy of Naomis equally disappointing loss a few years ago to Domingues Lino. Just couldn't quite get it done.

Naomi couldn't cope with MDM's spin at all. A few good points here and there but not a great performance overall. Not many unreturned first serves in the 2nd set.
