I thought she showed something's against Garcia I hadn't seen before.
An excellent questioning of a line call that possibly changed the course of the match and although not to be condoned her very brief swearing and racket abuse episode showed a sense of not just frustration but determination to do the bussiness and manufacture a win against an evenly matched opponent even when not playing well.
I dont think you can ever question her application but i now think she understands she is approaching her peak years and if she is to make her mark at the top of the ladies game the time is now. A great Wimbledon for her so far
Heather & Marina have played enough together, and had enough success together, that I think Marina deserves to be officially 'un-plussed'; she's become more than just a '+'.
I'm glad they're able to play together again, and well done to them today.
Be nice if they can win the next one too, and get to meet Hingis/Mirza - Heather can play all of the current world #1's in the same event!
Heather's match against Serena Williams third on Centre Court tomorrow.
One thing that is imperative if Heather is to get a respectable scoreline (or perhaps more?) is she needs to be on her game right from the start. Several matches recently, Heather has been sluggish to start with and then worked her way into the matches. There will be no chance of doing that against Serena, but Serena has also started slowly in quite a few matches recently so the opening period represents Heather's best opportunity.
