Broady up a break in the 3rd though, perhaps he just wants to win in 5 to get the crowds' juices flowing on the opening day ;)

A wonderful draw for Broady looks like being wasted. Some lovely shots played but sadly when push comes to shove he choked badly, its clear to see why he's made such little progress. Not good enough and given Matosevic has been in woeful form theres no excuses for Broady to not win this match. A player on the up would grab this opportunity with both hands instead its just been one choke after another on the big points. Woeful and unless theres a massive turnaround then Broady has wasted a golden opportunity.

Yeah, Matosevic needn't bother stepping out there. Even if he was playing very solidly, no excuses!

Bloody hell you have to laugh at the comments on this thread.

He hasn't played the big points well but if he can just get his nose in front you wouldn't fancy Matosevic to serve it out with relative ease...

3-0* in the third.

Wimbledon internet scoreboard keeps having wobbles and putting up scores from 10 minutes earlier..

I stand by my comments, Matosevic has not played well and has been gifted 2 sets by Broady's choking and inability to not fall to pieces at the crunch moments. Theres too many excuses made for Brit tennis players, Matosevic has been in desperate form and Broady should be winning this match. I will say the same tomorrow if Ward fails to beat Vanni.

Too many excuses for Brits, and too many people taking the opportunity to be blindly over-critical.
