RE: Weeks 26 & 27 - Wimbledon - men's main draw (grass)

Its all Pyschologocal  paulisi, when you watch the top guys warm up and hit against each other it is hard to pick,

Then the Game starts and its all in the minor details .

To remove that fear is the hardest bit !

Difference so far has been the big points. If Liam isn't ahead at the end of this set I wouldn't fancy him to nick it.

That said no matter what happens now he's by no means disgraced himself!

Mato's definitely playing better when his back's against the wall.

Close 1st set, hope Liam can nick this set and we'll see what he can do in a Best of 3 shoot-out!

Broken at the pivotal point of the set again.

He just seems to falter on every big point, and at the latter stages of the sets. Pretty much every break point he's had he's failed to get the return back in court.

So frustrating to watch because he plays well for the rest of match. But no matter how well you play for 90% of the match, if you don't win any of the big points you're not going to win the match. Serious psychological problems.

I've switched off now anyway.

Same story pretty much every week.

A wonderful draw for Broady looks like being wasted. Some lovely shots played but sadly when push comes to shove he choked badly, its clear to see why he's made such little progress. Not good enough and given Matosevic has been in woeful form theres no excuses for Broady to not win this match. A player on the up would grab this opportunity with both hands instead its just been one choke after another on the big points. Woeful and unless theres a massive turnaround then Broady has wasted a golden opportunity.

Saving break point in that first game will hopefully give Liam a boost.

So Matosevic has lost 15 matches out of 18 this year.

11 consecutive defeats.

And hasn't won a match since Feb. 23rd.

Now THAT'S got to be the definition of 'not in form'....

And so nailed on to beat Liam, in my book, as is now proving to be the case...  cry
