The same was said about Edmund after RG. They don't seem to understand the concept of 'live' rankings.

There wre three players at challenger level who could overtake him this week, plus anyone still in Wimbledon and there are more challengers next week.

Caught patches of that set and Liam was playing some brilliant stuff. Saved a break point at 3-4 and a set point at 4-5 and was comfortably going toe-to-toe with one of the stand out performers of 2015. It's evident against Goffin though that he needs more penetration on his groundstrokes - he's struggling to get Goffin even out of position.

I just hope he doesn't fade now, although it wouldn't be unexpected given the rankings disparity.

Agree, playing very nicely, but it's all a bit central. Feel he needs to start going a a fair bit closer to the lines if he wants to win this.
