And Kyle Edmund, Fleming/Inglot, Rae/Smith have also been proposed, as close to the cut off. Stuart Fraser seems to feel that Fleming/Inglot have a reasonable chance of getting in.

Kyle Edmund is on the list. Subject to July DC participation and/or ITF appeal. And so are Fleming and Inglot. Hurrah! Rae/Smith, unfortunately, didn't make it: doubles team is Konta/Watson.

The Beeb is now reporting that Team GB will consist of Andy, Jamie, Kyle, Dom, Colin, Johanna Konta & Heather Watson. The headline on the home page of the official site at the moment proclaims: "Serena and Murray lead all-star cast for tennis at Rio 2016".
On one list I was looking at, Colin also had an asterisk by his name but Dom didn't. Obviously Dom has fulfilled his DC commitments but if Colin's eligibility is still being questioned, can't see how Dom could go without having a doubles partner, unless he would play with Kyle.
If Evo had been in the top 100 for the last 2-3years i'd like think he'd have gone. As he has just made the break through and wants to make sure he stays there i can understand that as a professional tennis player an event that offers no ranking points, is possible not the best thing to schedule in.
Frankly, if the supposedly mega party-loving animal that is Dan Evans doesn't want to go to Rio (of all places), for the Olympics (of all things) but focus on the US Open etc., I think that's a brilliant result.
And it's always possible that he and his girlfriend are thinking of maybe having a baby some time soon-ish and have been put off by the Zika stuff.
