Katie apologised to the line judge instantly the ball hit her and the official laughed and said she was fine. Understandably, Katie had zero focus in the next few games.

It sounds like the right decision was made in the end, albeit after a lot of drama. Would have been a terrible way to get knocked out of Wimbledon.
