Week 23 - ATP 250 - Aegon Open, Nottingham, UK - grass (doubles)

Just back from a few days in the North East.  These don't appear to have been posted already:

R1:  Mariusz Fyrstenberg & Santiago González (POL/MEX) CR 100 (53+47) vs (WC) Eric Butorac (USA) & Colin Fleming CR 122 (38+84)
R1:  Guillermo Durán & Leonardo Mayer (ARG/ARG) CR 90 (68+22) vs (WC) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 245 (123+122)
R1:  (ALT) Lukasz Kubot & Max Mirnyi (POL/BLR) CR 90 (48+42) vs (4) Dom Inglot & Jamie Murray CR 61 (36+25)

That last encounter is interesting.  Wonder if someone has the DC in mind...  Not sure I understand why the Brits are seeded & the Brazilians not, though. confuse

Bellucci ranking based on singles I guess which doesn't count towards seeding.

Fancy the skupski's chances in r1. All Brit tie r2 hopefully

A good chance of success in all these games I feel.
Would really like Colin to do well this, next (& the week after!) week to build his ranking up again.

Ken and Neal won 6-1 6-4 - nice prize money and reasonable points

I hope they get a decent draw at Wimbledon

Jamie and Dom could be next up at Nottingham

Jamie and Dom now face alternates Kubot and Mirnyi which is probably a much tougher prospect.

Hate to say this, wolf, but you were right:

R1:  (ALT) Lukasz Kubot & Max Mirnyi (POL/BLR) CR 90 (48+42) defeated (4) Dom Inglot & Jamie Murray CR 61 (36+25) by 4 & 2 bleh

Scratch pairing, I suppose... hmm  At least there'll be no divided loyalties for the quarter-final:

QF:  (WC) Ken Skupski & Neal Skupski CR 245 (123+122) vs (ALT) Lukasz Kubot & Max Mirnyi (POL/BLR) CR 90 (48+42)

Best of luck, Ken & Neal!
