It's interesting that so many on here keep supporting Dan Evans through whatever happens, or whichever side of the bed he wakes up on for a year. Is there a particular charm that I'm missing?

I should really point out that I do support Dan, as with all other Brits (adopted or not), but I was more asking about the fact that support for Dan is often stronger (or more showing) than for other players who work hard week-in and week-out. I understand he has an injury but do not understand quite how he has to work that into his schedule, either - it was truly a sincere question.

Maybe its because Dan has more talent than most British players bar Andy

For sure my favourite. He was the best junior when I started following GB tennis so I have that connection to following his career.
Also he has real top 100 potential still and I personally like the rawness of his attitude
That's a great performance from Ed, judging only by scoreline it looks dominant
RE: Support for Dan, I watched every match he played in that great US swing, 2 challenger finals and USO R3, and I just love the way he plays. I understand his demeanour isn't everyone's cup of tea, but I also think the only person he owes anything to is himself, and so I'll enjoy the successes when they come and hold out hope he can get back to the kind of form that saw him beat Nishikori/Tomic and threaten the top 100. Bags of talent, just hope he can manage the injury trouble and keep competing well.
