Last direct acceptance was 405, so Marcus would have got in. The other wildcards aren't playing, so it looks like he has a Wimbledon wildcard.
Maybe. But....
Or is injured ? Or out of sorts? Or just concentrating on the Wimbly qualifying doubles draw? (Just possible he'd got a MD doubles card but that wouldn't stop him playing at Notts)
There could be various scenarios....

If a player who lost in the first round of the play off ends up with a wild card it will make the whole thing look like a complete and utter farce.

Yes, that was my thinking.
And, furthermore, someone who cannot be said to have performed well in the grass court challenger series (unlike Dave Rice, say, who's posted some good results).
If Marcus gets one and Richard B doesn't (who beat him reasonably easily, and won the next round too) then it is truly stupid.

From what I've heard, Bloomfield and Ward are both getting one. Not sure why they don't just give the 4 WCs out - or malmike the draw bigger.
And thanks sherbert - it's lovely hearing your views - it's a different perspective and very welcome.
And, yes, why bother playing the final round (and risking injury etc.) if you know you have 4 places guaranteed? Or, as you say, have a larger draw - the event was well oversubscribed, as shown from the list printed on here earlier.

Any time it sounds like Bloomfield was brilliant against Evans for a set and a half - but ran out of steam. He told Neil he's fine for 1 match, but can't manage 2 in a day. If only they had played 2 matches yesterday! And now Neil has missed out on Notts. Can't believe how strong they have all been this year! He's still smiling though. A waste of $250 on a player zone account though!
So it looks like Nottingham has been passed the baton from Queens for most woefully inadequate ranking points in comparison to difficulty of opposition. FIVE points for qualifying?! Got to be a piss take.
Yep, a feed through from only being able to give 10 points for MD R1 winners.
Standard or not though, Jeff looks right about the extremely low return of points vs difficulty.
The issue is that this is the only ATP event in the week before Wimbledon. Melbourne and RG both have 2 ATP events the week before, and the US open although it only has one, that follows 2 back to back Masters so alot of players will take the week off.
