The other Laura is limbering up.

Gavrilova's ranking of 41 is far too low. She started the year at around 240, and has reached WR21 in the race, despite having to play initially in ITF50Ks (which she won).

I think Laura's best hope of coming through this match is that Gav has not recovered from whatever ailed her at her last outing, at Roland Garros, and was forced to withdraw.

I dont think Gavrilovas game is particularly well suited to grass though. Of all surfaces, it would be grass that i would give this match the best chance of going Lauras way.

Her game indeed is not well suited to grass. However, it is well suited to Laura's game style regardless of surface.

Ach Em, shame she couldnt hold on in the second, a really beatable opponent as last week showed. Oh well.
