Tara awaits the winner of Em/Jasmine.

Tara beat beth 6-2 7-5

Lucy beat Jodie in three sets, 3-6 6-4 6-2 - really pleased for Lucy - she was playing some lovely tennis at Surbiton - as said, completely begged the question as to why she's not higher ranked....

Cav def. Emily Arbuthnott 6-4 6-3

Em 6-4 in the third. And into the third...

Em wins 64 in the third. Jasmine took an injury time out down a break and got back on level terms straight after, but Em broke again at 4-4.

Given their respective paths, Tara must be a big favourite (probably would have been favoured regardless)

My two favourite players in the play offs were Tara and Cav so hoping they both win the semi finals

So, the four semi-finalists are the four oldest and most experienced players in the draw.....

Good.

The teenage brigade have already had two arguably slightly generous Q wildcards .....

Very comfortable for Tara. Played very well. Got broken serving for it but Em couldn't hold. That might have made it more interesting .

Some big groundies from Tara, Em looked a bit worn out, not surprisingly.

Tara is capable of greatness at times on grass (saw it even in her small cameo at Ilkley), and now poor old Em has zero time to recover and have a crack down in Eastbourn.

Cav's going to be a busy lady, a few extra matches on the grass might just be what the doctor ordered though.

Hi scottie, do you mind hoping for an all British Wimbledon final? Oh, and I'd like a Ferrari, if it's not too much trouble.
