Week 24 - ATP 500 - Aegon Championships, the Queen's Club - London, UK - grass (doubles)

The main draw's not yet available, but Colin, with yet another partner ( rolleyes.gif ), is playing in the qualies:

QR1:  (q1) Chris Guccione & André Sá (AUS/BRA) CR 99 (44+55) vs (qWC) Jonathan Erlich (ISR) & Colin Fleming CR 172 (85+87)

Main draw now out - & it could be interesting...

R1:  (1) Alexander Peya & Bruno Soares (AUT/BRA) CR 28 (15+13) vs  (WC) Dom Inglot & Andy Murray CR 403 (37+366)
R1:  Feliciano López & Max Mirnyi (ESP/BLR) CR 106 (63+43) vs Jamie Murray & John Peers (AUS) CR 51 (25+26)

Andy playing with one eye on the Davis Cup after Wimbledon?  I think we all know he's a far better doubles player than his current ranking suggests.

If Colin & Jonathan qualify, they'll play Kevin Anderson & Jérémy Chardy.

Tragic that Colin can't seem to find a regular partner. He's much better than this.
Bet Peya and Soares are a bit miffed at that draw.
Not so much about DC cup for me but about getting a match in before his singles. He tends to do this after a change of surface or a break.

I suppose Colin's problem is that his ranking doesn't make him an attractive partner in the short term.

I wonder who Dom's long term partner will be?

I think Ram's changed his mind, according to Dom's tweets

Maybe Dom will team up with Colin.

Lopez/Mirnyi on grass not an easy pairing. So not great by the numbers, but not a cause for worry, at a guess.

Crazy scheduling tomorrow with Andy's singles before doubles. Presumably he has some say in it.

That'd be great but I do wonder if Colin's ranking at 78 is too low for Dom.  Maybe they'll have a bash as a WC at Wimbledon and see how it goes
