QR2:  Mirza Basic (BIH) WR 223 (CH = 188 in April) vs (qWC) Alex Ward WR 419
QR2:  (qWC) David Rice WR 423 vs (q8) Luke Saville (AUS) WR 183 (CH = 152 in February)

Those matches are supposed to be played today, but, given that the rain appears now to have intervened, I very much doubt that they'll be completed.

Mr Rice must wish that the grass season were longer. Well done - another good win.

Except it was played indoors, but I know what mean.

Main draw wild cards are Bambridge, Milton, Norrie, and Willis.

And I thought I had an exclusive, very early out with the MD.

Smethy by all accounts played well, but I didn't see it, it was a real battle.

Alex not so rubbish on grass after all:

Played indoors, but still a massive result.

Alex's career best win is against Yen-Hsun Lu WR 59 TPE at Le Gosier 2012.

This is his best win this year. Great Result.

There were more matches played indoors than on the grass, but they did get a few played on the grass later on.

Beechy is helping out Cam for the grass court season, so he is in good hands.

Ah, OK, Phil.  I wondered why the live scoreboard was saying "suspended rain" for some matches while the Basic/Jung match was still being played! wink

Epic choke from Evo, *6-3 in the second set TB, lost it 6-8!

That is the least 'epic' 'choke' I've ever seen. Players often lose TB's from winning positions on serve - it's part of the TB's nature.

Behave, 6-3 up on serve, on grass, is a rare position to lose from.

Ricey and Slimbomb trying to get into the doubles, but the cutoff is ridiculous.

How did the points play out, particularly the two from *6-3 that evidenced an "epic choke" ?
