The conditions were shocking, winds gusting to 30mph, and feeling about -10. It's now 2 weeks in a row that Josh has played McGee in unplayable conditions which is so frustrating. When the wind died down briefly Josh was winning more of the points. Still he is playing exceptionally well with a new found style of controlled aggressive tennis, which should give a great shot next week, bar a shocking draw. Foot wasn't great but the wind was by far the biggest factor today.
Not sure if the conditions last week could be described as unplayable, it was a lovely sunny day and the wind had died down a bit from earlier in the day.
Anyway 3 of the 4 semi-finalists are the same as last week at Surbiton, with only Brydan missing out from completing the set! Potential for a repeat final and hopefully a repeat doubles final too with the same result.

In any event the conditions were surely the same for both players.
This is true, but McGee is 100% a grinder, whereas Josh's new style requires him to take more risks, hence when the wind comes those shots are less likely to find the court. All I'm doing is relaying what Josh told me, and he's the guy playing the match.

Improved effort in worse conditions then by the sounds of it. I'll take that.
