Congratulations to her indeed. Good to see her winning WTA title at that age. Her game is nothing spectacular but very solid a la Simona.
One that got away in my opinion. Just not quite solid enough at the net.
Unfortunately, 'one that got a way' is a phrase that can be used a bit too often if reference to Jo's matches.
That's being a bit harsh for this week though, as Jo has got two really good wins over top 100 players and she looks to be in good form for the rest of the grass court season. Overall a very positive week.
Bit of perspective though they were two top 100 players who have been struggling for form of late, especially Rybarikova who is nothing like the players she was when she won Birmingham a few years back - decent wins of course and like people say you can only beat what is put in front of you.
Given that she is 'nothing like the player she was' Rybarikova has done well to just beat Muguruza 3&1 though maybe she just loves Birmingham...
