RE: Entries Wk 24 - 15/06/15

Well, the whole play-off lists kinda depend on who gets WCs without bothering with play-offs. I think that announcement might not be until Tuesday.

Yes, and for the play-offs, the sign-in is Wednesday and there are 6 wildcards, I believe, so a lot will be decided this week. I just meant that it is a separate event that will feature a lot of GB players this week so will need a heading.

Some of the French players aren't half bitchin' 'n' moanin' about having to play on grass.

Monfils has been going about it for the last couple of weeks and Benoit Paire, after today's truly stellar performance, tweeted:

thrilled to be going home - fed up with this f** grass which just gets you hurt - really not looking forward to going to Wimbledon. Home here I come !

Well, Benoit, we've got others who'd like your spot, please feel free, I'm sure there's no place like home, enjoy....

Whereas when I was at Surbiton last Saturday two Austrlian players sounded delighted to be on grass after the Clay!!

Unfortunately they have some very good players who DO rather take to grass.

Until you remember that Tsonga and Gasquet both like playing on grass and that Mahut is easily a top 50 player on the surface.

On that note, Mahut beat Goffin in the s-Hergotenbosch final yesterday...
