I would imagine that consideration for a Wimbledon WC, particularly a Q WC ( which is surely the best Tara can hope for ) would look at more than just rankings. Recent success - good. On clay - not so much.
I'm almost certain that you can't compete in two different tournaments ( Q or MD ) for the same week, even at different levels. Players sometimes do play in the early stages of one tournament then Slam qualifying, but that's OK because the MD belongs to the following week.
From the looks of it (and as I understand it, which is a bit dodgy), it's not that she's withdrawn from Ilkley but that the computer has automatically withdrawn her because she was still in Sweden and is higher up the list in Sweden.
She may well just have forgotten that she was still in Sweden and the automatic withdrawal date was coming up.
She can withdraw from Sweden and take a wildcard for Ilkley
The instance for EWS was singles in one tournament and doubles at another- I think.
The only way you can play two singles tournaments in the same week is when they overlap i.e tour event and GS qualifiers. Didn't Heather do that at Melbourne?
Any idea how Katie Swan will warm up for Wimbledon, it strikes me she is potentially as competitive as Kyle was in his last year of juniors and he warmed up with some senior events, admittedly already having formally quit the junior tour apart from slams at that point but girls obviously are competitive in seniors earlier.
Always good to have "insiders" on the board and we are not limited to 140 characters here, like we are on twitter. So stick around and give us some insight. I know people here will appreciate it.
Ilkley weather forecast for Saturday ain't 25C and wall to wall sunshine, may be making a brief detour to Birmingham, before travelling back up north. Outside chance LR will play qualies, possibly Katie S.

Not sure about this. A post on TennisForum says Katie Swan has a wildcard for Birmingham. Not sure if for main draw or qualifying. (read it on Tennisforum which quoted Katie's " @Katieswan99: Very excited to receive a Wildcard for the WTA Premier next week in Birmingham! @BritishTennis #pumped" but I can't see any confirmation of where this came from. An educated guess says a deleted tweet perhaps Birmingham want to make an official announcement tomorrow.)
