Robert is a nightmare opponent. Kyle has handled this match extremely well, his fearhand is firing and he has every chance if he can just weather the storm. Breaks back for *2-3.
You know, I'm really impressed by Kyle's attitude on the big points. He seems positively unfazed and even at 30-30, two points from losing the set fires a simply sublime forehand winner with no hesitation. I've seen the very top players (Murray included) get visibly nervous and make basic errors when the pressure's on sometimes, but Kyle seems to handle it well. At the very least, he certainly doesn't show it if he's feeling the pressure and that in itself is a very good trait to have. It can be quite fazing when a player shows no sign of pressure and just oozes calmness on a big point.
Brilliant hold there, despite several times being two points from losing the set. 5-5*.
On a side note, the French fans showing yet again why they are quite possibly the worst fanbase in the world (no offence Coup Droit). Every year I see this tournament and the constant booing, whistling and general complaining at every little thing that doesn't go there way and it's frankly boorish.
Oh Kyle. Three very good opportunities to put that away there and with every shot fired right back at Robert you got the overwhelming urge that he was going to lose this point.
Big return and now it's 15-40 and the crowd are really fired up.
