RE: Weeks 21-22 - French Open - Roland Garros Men's Main Draw (Clay)

To be fair, this is a great tournament for Kyle with making it through a tough qualifying draw then playing his first 5 set match and winning. He could not have hoped for much more than that beforehand.

Ah that's a huge shame. Was really looking forward to this.

Hopefully it's not too serious and many well wishes to Kyle. At least his undefeated status at the French Open (singles, seniors, main draw) remains intact. Every cloud.

What a shame. Get well soon, Kyle.

Smart move. Playing Kyrgios on clay while injured - with the possibility of placing the grass season in jeopardy - wouldn't make sense at all. Hope he heals quickly.

Does anyone know of any streaming websites for french open. Much appreciated if so

There is a blackout on streaming in Uk sadly, so Itv player online (itv 4) seems to be the only free source.

shame for Kyle, hope he's fighting fit for the grass court season

though does mean he can boast an 100% winning record at Roland Garros - even Nadal can't match that!

Livescorehunter is working at least for me it is.

Kyle is still developing his physique and is still very new to the intense demands that GS 5-setters place on the body, it's perhaps not surprising that the Robert match took its toll. Am sure he'll be back soon.

Must be server related then I guess.  Though when I checked just now it is showing a schedule for  tomorrow, but for the last few days there has just been a message about all streams being prohibited though I can't remember the exact words.

I believe that Andy and Kyle hold a combined clay court record this year for matches actually contested at ATP 250 level and above of 15-0 !!! ( Andy 11-0, Kyle 4-0 ).

Hopefully this seemingly wise precaution has Kyle fit and ready by Queen's.

Just catching up on the forum after a few days away.
So sorry that Kyle is injured, but he did SO well against Robert.
Get well soon, Kyle, and we'll see you on the grass!

I find it very odd that he should withdraw from R2 of a Slam, as a precautionary move ahead of R1 of an ATP tour match which is 3 to 4 weeks hence.

I think it is more the case of withdrawing from a R2 slam match to avoid possibly missing the next 2 months of the season (or more) through injury.

Perhaps I should add that from reports I've read, this was on doctor's advice after a scan earlier today.

He's done what he came to do, playing in all 4 slams main draws on merit would be a fantastic achievement for 2015.

He is probably most naturally suited to clay and from a developmental perspective the grass court season is I am sure a greater priority.

Time for some well earned R and R.
