If I were Djokovic, I would sue. But I wouldn't term Federer's draw a cakewalk ... more a triumph of uncertainty. Granollers is decent; nobody likes playing Karlovic ... and then if Monfils or Wawrinka is "on," either can be almost unplayable. If they're "off," they are off. So if it gets to those rounds with those players, it could be great, or it could be terrible.
Murray's draw feels OK - glad that he drew Ferrer of the 5-8s, though none of them is easy. But you never know - Sousa could be feeling confident; Kyrgios could have one of his "on" days; Ferrer is never easy on clay ... and then you get to the SFs ....
Typical that Djokovic, Nadal and Murray are in the same half as the three top favourites. Somebody from the bottom half will get a pretty kind trip to the final, and I'd probably put my money on Berdych.
Fed vs Wawrinka could be feisty if it gets to that, they have over recent times seemed less than peaceful Swiss.
Runaway world number one gets Rafa in his quarter at the French Open. Shucks
Yes, Andy's feels not too bad overall. With my love of no final set TBs can we have a five setter, concluding with a 62-60 final set, for a Novak vs Rafa QF. Though gee that would stretch into most of the next day
Though Andy needs to take care of his own business. Kyrgios - who knows, but should be OK, Isner - actually perhaps surprisingly generally pretty decent on clay, and Ferrer - traditionally good on clay, but GS underperformer and waning a little ?
I suppose the big question is whether Andy can win this tournament?
In which case, he can only play one of the red-hot favourites (Nole or Nads), and that the day after they have hopefully beaten seven shades out of eachother.
