scottie, sometimes infuriating yes, but generally I find it an absolute priviledge to be able to watch such a great player representing Britain. As a fellow Scot, Andy being Scottish adds even more.

The guy has achieved so much and has of late so upped his level again that he is currently generally probably playing the second best tennis on the planet.

Try to enjoy him a bit more !

Indy I love watching Andy but feel I am playing every point myself lol When he misses those overheads it does my head in! I get nervous watching him in these situations. Yes because he is Scottish that I have these feelings only other player that got me like that was Bally Watched Henman several times but he did not pull the heartstrings

Oh, I certainly do understand these feelings. I care so much about Andy that I sometimes literally can't watch Andy in important Slam matches. I'll switch off or leave the room for a while, and just please make it be good when I look in again.

Only the Scottish football team in World Cup finals really has had me feeling and acting similarlly. Though wouldn't it just be great nowadays to even reach World Cup finals as we did 6 times out of 7 from 1974 to 1998.

Just felt you were coming across as really harsh on a great player that it is our priviledge to have at this time and enjoy watching ( err, apart from these times I can't watch ! ). As I said, I hardly saw any of the match yesterday, on this occasion to do with circumstances rather than couldn't bear to. But can't say I have ever really had particular concerns re his overheads. Recall Djoko though having some overhead problems in THAT Wimbledon final.

Anyway, kindly they held the denoument of the match over till today when I can watch

Just a stupid joke. They're warming up, and on ITV1.

Hey, he's not Scottish yet - I think he still has a good chance tomorrow. British still.

Incredible standard of play from both players today. Marred by Djokovic developing another of his medical conditions that has no effect whatsoever on his play; only on his behaviour between points. He is now taking this play-acting right into the realms where it is actually simulation - and cheating.

Andy began extracting the urine out of this. I shan't add any comparison between Nole and Serena, because Tara Moore's twitter feed.

Djokovic 2 sets v Andy 1 set + the crowd. 3-3 in the fourth.

They are the best two players in the world right now, imho. Unbelievable tennis today. Shame about the unbelievable medical non-condition.

Andy, though, should be flattered that Nole only seems to develop the symptoms of chronic hypochondria in his presence.

He's certainly Scottish.  Scottish and British, just as you can be Welsh or English and British.

Think you maybe misunderstood. British when he wins, Scottish when he loses

Well, Indy, if you're watching, you're ahead of me. I was able to listen on 5 live to the exchange between sets after ascertaining from Twitter that Mr Murray had won the 4th. And then the radio went off again. Too tense. Hoping ITV will put the fourth set on its site for watching later, as it sounds as if it was superb.

Andy lost the decider 6-1. Bit of a anti-climax in that final set tbh. cry

Of course it was an anti-climax, It happens ever time Andy plays Nole. It was so depressingly predictable that I didn't bother watching the match.

I suppose it could be called an anticlimax. But to keep your game at that level for 5 sets is a Herculean effort. Good try by Andy, lots to take from it, shame about the end.

Big credit Andy winning the 4th; pity about the 5th obviously but a short shoot-out is always something of a lottery... a couple of points in the first 2 games going the other way could've made for a very different story.

Hey ho, forward to the green stuff :)

Oh well. Just as glad I didn't try to listen to it. What is it with Mr Murray and 5th sets against Mr Djokovic recently? Time for a return to the USO-style 5th set!

I saw the end of the 4th set but couldn't watch the 5th. Ah well. I have it recorded, but I'm not sure I want to watch. . . did Andy put up a fight, but fail, or not? If he did I'll watch.

well, not to be this time but very well done to Andy for all his effort. I really felt for him near the end of the 3rd set but he dug deep and did incredibly well hanging in there. He has done so well this past 6months/year, I hope he will feel encouraged and proud of all the progress he has made

He must have been reasonably impressive overall - Carole Bouchard, for example, is saying she thinks (for the first time) that he could one day win RG. But sounds as if the high-risk shots didn't work too well in the 5th.

Incidentally, this was my favourite tweet, sent in the middle of the stellar fourth:

Tom Perrotta ‏@TomPerrotta 2h2 hours ago

If Andy Murray wins Wimbledon with Ivan Lendl & the French Open with Amelie Mauresmo, he'll have to fire everyone & hire Pat Rafter for Oz.
