kitchen (and other) spam

After 3 days without the internet (I felt totally lost) or a land line, I came on this morning to read what I had missed, or as much as I could manage anyway. I was straight back in the groove with 7 kitchen spam threads to delete! I felt I had never been away.

Reason for absence  - since my husband's stroke, he has been having problems with balance and has had a lot of falls, including demolishing our sliding wardrobe doors a few months ago, and falling down 14 stairs suffering no more than a few carpet burns and bruises. I think this latest one, on Tuesday night, takes the cake. He managed to fall in the hall, making a 2ft square hole in the wall and in the process smashing the BT master socket in pieces. So, no phone, no internet. He still only has a few grazes and a rather large bump on his head!

The BT engineer said he had never seen anything like it in his 24 years of service!

RE: kitchen spam

Not more kitchen suff, can we not just somehow ban the original poster here

Anyway, some people pay good money to get holes knocked in walls and other err alterations.

All the very best to both you and your husband, Madeline.

If your husband is that good at smashing things you could hire him out

(my best wishes for his recovery)

I ban the IP every time, they just keep coming up with different ones.

Thanks for the good wishes.

I have deleted many kitchen adverts in the last few days: I was getting so delete-happy I nearly deleted this one as well as the title has the word "kitchen" in it!

Why do they bother putting the spam on? Surely no one reads it and if I was thinking about a new kitchen then I would instantly cross off that company as a potential supplier.

More importantly best wishes to you and your husband Madeline. Atleast walls can be more easily repaired than bodies!

RE: kitchen (and other) spam

For the second time, I have just deleted a couple of spam posts offering high quality counterfeit money. THIS time I have kept a copy. Does anybody think this should be reported to the police, and if so, where on earth would I report it? Where does the Fraud Squad have its base? I suspect if I take it to the local cop shop they will just say "Thank you, Madam, we'll see to it" and then ignore it.
