Kyle has been drawn against fellow qualifier Stephane Robert of France. He'll most likely face Kyrgios in R2 and then potentially Muzza in the Third Round.
Kyrgios plays Istomin in the first round with the winner to play Edmund/Robert winner and then hopefully the winner of that match plays Murray in the third round
I think he took exception to the fact that the next step for him was to play 5 set tennis, by keeping all subsequent matches to 2! Fantastic results. I presume RG has no on the day ground access unlike wimbledon ie tickets on line or foget it? Does anyone know?
If Kyle proves himself over 4 or even more 5 sets here and then on grass there's a certain appointment at Queen's after Wimbledon that might interest him ( says someone who never accepted that James Ward was a shoo-in for said event ).
But much to happen before then, including hopefully good things for both James and Kyle.
Tremendous draw for Kyle and although Kyrgios insists that he's fighting fit, we'll be watching him.

Don't even go there. Last year I turned up and went to the ticket office - or at least I would have done if there had been one.
You CAN NOT buy tickets on the day, either at the stadium or even online. Roland Garros has NO TICKET OFFICE. You have to buy online and at least 24 hours in advance.
Just to add the general 'wow' comment for Kyle - such a clean run of matches, really impressive, getting it right at exactly the right time. Good luck to him (and the other two British men, and the British ladies, of course( in the main draw.
Didn't think Kyle played quite as well today as he did yesterday, but he was still a class above his opponent and the result was never really in doubt. The only time he was in any trouble in the first set at 0-30 he hit a forehand winner and then 3 unreturned serves.
He played quite a poor service game when serving for the match at 5-2 making a few unforced errors. Menendez then played probably his best game of the match to hold for 5-4 and at this point I was wondering if the comeback was on.
After Kyle got to 40-0 it looked comfortable again, he then missed a fairly routine forehand which obviously surprised the umpire as he gave Kyle the point on the scoreboard giving him the win, before realising his mistake and changing it to 40-15. He then did a huge double fault and it looked like the comeback might be on, but he won it on his third match point to advance him to the main draw and let me get out of the sun. It was very hot on his court today
Overall, I would definitely say that Kyle was the most impressive player I saw in the whole qualifying tournament and I doubt very much if I go next year I will see him play.
Bob thanks for that you've saved me a significant disappointment. Long time reader, what a great couple of days you are probably right I think you may have had the privilege of seeing Kyles final GS qualifying tournament!
With a bit of luck he will only ever play in two, so a collectors item. Really looking forward to seeing how he goes in the big show next week.
Good to see the steady progress, for the most part beating the guys he should be beating, quickly and now a real threat to anyone ranked outside the top 50.
Now here's a question, Stephane Robert v James Ward, who has had the biggest impact on their nations tennis? Does Roberts CH of 99 swing it for him over Wardys Davis cup magnificence ?
