Gutted for Liam. That one is going to be hard to take. Really hope he can take some positives from that and then get back on to the green stuff and prepare for the Grass Court season back in the UK.

Devastated for Liam, let's hope he avoids a hangover from this and manages to get some solid grass-court practice in.
(Possibly unfairly) commenting from watching only Live Scores he needs to work on making his service games more solid. It looks like he'd be giving breaks away like confetti even on the hugely discredited WTA tour.
He now could really do with a good grass court season. I would imagine that he can pick up again on the different requirements of grass court tennis even although it will have been a while competitively, having been across the pond during the grass court season last year.
I would certainly imagine the year to date has not gone as Liam would have liked. Yes, he has pushed up his CH a bit, but ranking movements have been just relative to the early part of last year and his big points are very heavily weighted to later on in 2014. ATP Race position 285= gives more indication of his year to date ranking pointswise and while he has been short of luck at times, I really do hope that he can step it up.

ATP race position of 285, really doesn't do justice to Liam's efforts this year, I would say around about his current mark would be fairer, buts that the situation at the moment, you don't always get what you deserve. Given the massive move at the end of last year, consolidation this year was vital, and for the most part Liam has achieved that if not in ranking points. Excited to see what Liam can do on the grass, which is a surface he is very comfortable on, if not had too much practice on since 2013. I suspect he'll be involved in some close encounters there as well, and with additional home support courtside (inc. yours truly ) hopefully he can come through those matches.
