I think poor Naomi C has retired. The other girl has won 4-1 retired.

Well, good(ish) news. According to her twitter...

I hate hate hate retiring! Got bad heatstroke in 3rd set of my singles yday and got worse after the match. Unbelievably frustrated right now

Heatstroke is potentially fatal; and she would have started her doubles final yesterday, and her singles today, against doctor's orders. But at least she hasn't picked up some mechanical injury (ankle, wrist, shoulder, etc), and should be okay for the grass.

Yes goodish news, and clearly folk already had a suspition there was that issue.

At least Naomi had already withdrawn from next week here, and can head home to recuperate and prepare for the green stuff.
