Cav beat her twice over in Sweden, but rated her very highly as she is just out of the junior ranks and has a big serve

Naomi not struggling with the big serve today, straight out the blocks with a *4-0 double break.

I know this is 'only' a 10k but is it too early to start getting excited about what Naomi might do during the grass season?

Naomi went from 6-1 3-0* to 6-1 5-7 and then was broken when serving for the match t 5-4 in the 3rd.

Toughie, but good win. Interesting final.

Well done to Cav on battling it out and all the best for the final.

Though yes, for now I would say that it is too early to start getting excited about what she might do during the grass season.

Hopefully relatively well though, to set her up for a strong second half of the year.

I hope they're all okay. Naomi has been on court for about 3 1/2 hours today, and it's nearly midsummer. There were tweets from someone earlier in the week about loads of cases of heatstroke - which is quite a serious condition.
