Yes, that could be it.

To add insult to injury, there are 22 DAs at Eastbourne, so I think there will be only 2 MDWCs? Presumably to NaomiB and KatyD, leaving all the rest as unseeded qualifiers.

I think the entry for Eastbourne is 22 DA, 2 SE, 4 Q and 4 WC.

Also it's a Friday finish that week, presumably so everyone can get to Nottingham qualifying.

Thanks, wolf.

So, presumably EWS, and one from Tara, Harriet and Cav for the last MDWC. Cav would be in pole position if she made the final here; though Harriet could overtake her in Indonesia... which would mean Harriet would be likely late to sign in for qualifiers at Eastbourne.

I take points about younger players and form.

It's just that as things stand there is a fair gap in rankings ( and current likely looking rankings at 15/06 ) between these in the top 6 and no 7 on.

The currenr top 6 are Heather, Jo, Naomi, Katy D, Emily and Amanda.

Heather is clearly a DE and I would expect WCs of some description for the other 5 plus probably 3 more pre Q WC play-offs. That is my expectation, I'm not saying whether I think that it is necessarily right or wrong.

Yes, that's the structure for 50K+.  For the lower level events it's 8Q and 4 WC.

If Harriet plays Indonesia there is no way she can make Eastbourne qualifiers unless she is knocked out in round 1 even then she ll be exhausted after a long journey. I don't think we will see Harriet at all in Eastbourne.

Thanks, paulisi, I guess a lot could end up being down to precise flight times and how well Harriet recovers.

Why the mistique about Eastboune with a MD cut of 185.

Out there Harriet is in a tournament she could actually win if she plays really well.

At Eastborne she might get 1  or 2 Q matches at best.

Cav won 6-3, 6-3.

Fran lost 6-3, 6-1, to Cabaj Awad, who plays Cav tomorrow in the semis.
