The trip for all girls has been pretty much a disaster when there were a lot of points up for grabs in these 25 50 and 75ks. The fields weren't particularly stacked in fact this was just about as weak a 25k as you can get. I wonder if Harriet will withdraw from Indonesia and prepare for the grass properly.

Given that Harriet's likely to be 5th seed or higher, no-one in the top 300 and the MD cut is over 600, she probably won't find an easier 25k field this year.

Nothing would be better preparation than a good run. If she plays well she could win there.

If she makes the quarters as she should then she ll miss sign in for qualies for Eastbourne. The net points gain plus some rest after a long trip to Indonesia might make it more beneficially for her to miss Eastbourne. Assuming of course she wins at least two matches

Asia is quite big. Japan-Indonesia is a several-hour flight, due South. The climatic change would be something like London-Dakar.

If she's intending to play most of June in a temperate climate (UK), a final week of May under the equator is less than ideal preparation.

If she plays next week and does get to the final then the earliest she would be back UK would be Monday evening. That would only give her about 4 days to recover and be ready for Surbiton that week. So Eastbourne is ruled out and Surbiton in doubt too.
